Stratacomm Adds a New Member to the Team

WASHINGTON, D.C., Feb. 10, 2015 – Stratacomm LLC is excited to announce the hiring of Jennifer Heilman as an account director in our Washington, D.C. office, adding to our roster of recent new Stratacomm hires. Heilman specializes in communications strategy, project management, media relations and digital media, and will service the firm’s growing roster of government, trade association and corporate clients.

“Jennifer is an adept communicator, well-tested in managing high visibility projects that engage the public across communications channels,” said John Fitzpatrick, a managing partner at Stratacomm. “She’s going to be a great addition to our team overall, and adds public sector project management expertise to our government contracting account teams in particular.”

Most recently, Heilman served as a communications specialist for Arlington County Government and led media relations, crisis communications and social media efforts for transportation, infrastructure and engineering, public works, and environmental sustainability issues and projects.

Prior to her position at Arlington County, Heilman was the director of communications for the Prevention of Blindness Society where she launched the nonprofit’s digital media presence, and led all internal and external communications, and fundraising and development events. Earlier in her career, she followed her journalistic endeavors, writing and editing for a national magazine and local newspaper.

Heilman earned a master’s degree in journalism and public affairs from American University and a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Elon University.
