Celebrating #TeamStratacomm Women in Leadership

In honor of International Women’s Day on March 8, we want to recognize and celebrate Stratacomm’s women leaders for their achievements in their professional communities. We are pleased to announce our very own Karah Davenport was honored for her longtime commitment to Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) Detroit with the Nancy Skidmore Award for Distinguished Chapter Service. We are also pleased to highlight several colleagues who were recently appointed to leadership positions.

Karah Davenport honored with Nancy Skidmore Award

Karah Davenport, vice president (11 years at Stratacomm), was honored with the Nancy Skidmore Award for Distinguished Chapter Service. The award was presented to Karah by Nancy Skidmore, the award’s namesake, at PRSA Detroit’s Annual Meeting at Little Caesar’s Arena in November. Karah has served on PRSA Detroit’s board of directors for over 11 years.

“Karah Davenport stood out to me, and to the executive board, as someone who has gone above and beyond for over 10 years managing our website. I know she has a full-time job, and priorities that come way above PRSA, but she always comes through in a timely fashion. She’s fantastic,” said Nancy Skidmore, PRSA Detroit’s executive secretary.

The Nancy Skidmore Award for Distinguished Chapter Service is awarded to individuals who show long-time dedication and responsibility to PRSA Detroit. Karah is the first professional to be honored by this award, as it was introduced in 2016 to its namesake, Nancy Skidmore.
