Our Roads, Our Safety

The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) is an agency within the U.S. Department of Transportation with the mission of reducing crashes, injuries and fatalities involving large trucks and buses.

Our team launched Our Roads, Our Safety, FMCSA’s premier public awareness campaign that aims to educate all road users on sharing the road safely with large trucks and buses.

Since inception, the team has worked to build and manage a network of 30 active partner organizations who help collaborate on and amplify campaign messages. Additionally, the team develops an integrated campaign each year that targets the top 10 states with the highest number of crashes and fatalities involving large trucks and buses.

From creative concepting and ideation to media planning and trafficking, our team manages the campaign year-over-year using creative and messaging across radio and out-of-home (OOH) PSAs, Gas Station TV (GSTV) network, Department of Motor Vehicle (DMV) TV network, bikeshare kiosk advertising and other types of digital advertising.
