The Transportation Research Board (TRB), an arm of the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine, recently engaged Stratacomm to offer strategic communications counsel and support.
After a competitive bid process, TRB selected Stratacomm specifically to assist with creation and deployment of a communications plan to raise awareness of TRB’s recent report to Congress, “Renewing the National Commitment to the Interstate Highway System.” The report details the current crisis facing the nation’s interstate highway system and outlines ten specific recommendations not just to rebuild aging interstate highways, but also to reimagine them to accommodate the onset of electric and autonomous vehicles, shifts in demographics and the growing effects of climate change on highway infrastructure.
“We’re thrilled to be selected by TRB to turn up the volume surrounding the future interstate report – a well-timed road map detailing numerous policy recommendations to upgrade and restore the nation’s highway system to meet growing and shifting mobility demands of the 21st century,” said Stratacomm Managing Partner, John Fitzpatrick. Stratacomm, with support from additional partners, will assist with communications planning, messaging, stakeholder outreach, media relations, digital and social media. Separately, Stratacomm also supports TRB on stakeholder communications related to an ongoing webinar series.
