Stratacomm Spreads Holiday Cheer by Giving Back

Company culture starts with a business’s most valuable asset: its people. Stratacomm’s commitment to service is born from the personal commitments #TeamStratacomm makes by donating time to local animal shelters, fundraising 5K and marathon races, tutoring, mentorship and more throughout the year.

During the holiday season, we place a special focus on office-wide service to spark the goodwill the season is best known for. Here are a few ways #TeamStratacomm gives back during this time:

  • HELPING OUR NEIGHBORS: This year, Charlotte Seigler, senior vice president and partner based in Tallahassee, is spearheading a firm-wide effort to adopt a local family affected by Hurricane Michael to help them get back on their feet and give them an extra-special holiday after the hurricane’s devastation. In past years, both offices have sponsored families, collecting wrapped gifts for a group donation.
  • FOLLOWING OUR NEED TO FEED: Both the Detroit and DC offices have rolled up their sleeves to work on-site at the local food banks. The Detroit team offers time to Forgotten Harvest and the DC team volunteers at the Capital Area Food Bank.
  • LEADING BY EXAMPLE: Our enthusiasm for giving back extends to our clients. With help from #TeamStratacomm, for the past several years Nissan North America has replaced the traditional practice of hosting an opulent holiday party for media with facilitating group volunteer opportunities in Detroit and New York City. The switch has been celebrated by Nissan’s media guests who enjoy having a chance to give back to their community during the holiday season. In lieu of holiday mementos, Stratacomm makes an annual monetary donation to Habitat for Humanity of Greater Nashville, a charity the Nissan Corporate Communications team gives to significantly in both time and resources each year. Stratacomm’s support of this cause, which is close to their hearts, is appreciated by our clients.

No matter what the opportunity is, one thing is clear: Stratacomm’s volunteer efforts bring us closer to our colleagues, clients and communities. Follow our social media channels to stay up to date on our volunteering efforts!
